Lacroix Environment integrates Insight SIP BLE module into smart street lighting solution
Lacroix Environment offers its customers a variety of IIoT industrial solutions covering Water Management, HVAC, Smart Grids and Public Lighting. For their class leading street lighting solution, Lacroix Environment has chosen to integrate Insight SIP’s ISP1507 BLE module to provide wireless connectivity to street lamppost controller units.
The Bluetooth connectivity function allow the PS-Pak to be configured without having to open or access the interior of the lighting unit, reducing the time and risk associated with routine operations. Functions available include:
- Software update
- Lighting setup of individual lamps in the case where multiple units are connected (up to 6 per PS-Pak)
- Parameter setting for Lacroix Environment software drivers, but also for competitor products (the PS-Pak can power and control any Zhaga compatible lanterns)
Philippe Escaich, Electronic Development Manager for Lacroix Environment Street Lighting BU said “We chose the Insight SIP module on the basis of its miniature size allowing it to be easily integrated into previous designs, the attractive price, and the quality of support provided by Insight SIP. The 1507-AX offered a balance of features and price that matched our needs”
